Every person out there at some point needs to come to the end of their own understanding and then go beyond that. There are so many close minded thinkers who are stagnant in their views. I was talking to someone this weekend who refused to acknowledge all of the different methods of healing. I agree that traditional medicine has it’s place, but I also want to add that there are holistic measures that we all can take to heal the ‘whole’ person. This person has also completely given in to the notion that she has to live life in pain and suffer the rest of her life. I want to challenge that ‘old’ way of thinking. A great way to change the pain in your body is to change your mindset. Whatever you tend to think is reflected in the body. So instead of thinking about your pain, ‘think’ about something that makes you happy and calm. A renewing of the mind is not a new concept, but one from biblical teachings. It works for all people, regardless of your beliefs. Taking steps to change your ‘old’ thinking habits can and will be the beginning of totally transforming your life. In addition to choosing to refocus the mind, also remember to stay away from negative influences, including images, TV, and music etc.. Stay positive by surrounding yourself with positive things and people. At one point I had to make a commitment to stay away from people who complained constantly. I never stopped caring about them, but at the same time, their negative mindsets were having an influence on me. You have to make the ultimate decision to feel better and make the necessary changes that will breathe the life back into you mind and spirit. You are after all, the author of your journey.
